The boba cafe should just be called Cafe. First time in and only came in for boba. The pearls were hard and the milk tea was just okay. They need to step their boba game up if they name their store after the drink.

Just Awful!! I used to really like this place but a few months back I had a horrible experience dining in here! My mom had never been here and I recommended we go for lunch! We came in and were told to seat ourselves, so we sat at a tall table in the corner near the front door. Shortly after our waitress (whom I later found out is the manager!) came to bring us our menus. We ordered our drinks and they took 15 minutes to bring them to us and take our food order (I was on an hour lunch break)!! We finally gave them our food order, I ordered green Chile chicken won tons and a ham and Turkey sandwich.. We were waiting for almost 30 mins and still no food! Our waitress kept running past us out the door taking car side to go orders out and it was like she completely forgot about us! My drink was empty for a good 20 mins before a different waitress finally came to refill it! Well finally 35 mins later our food came out. I was starving and so excited to finally eat! I started shoveling won tons into my mouth only to realize after the 3rd won ton they were CRAB won tons!! I am allergic to shellfish!! My mom quickly grabbed a bottle of benadryl out of her purse and gave me 2! We furiously told our waitress what had happened and she apologized and went to get the the correct wontons I ordered the first time, but by then we didn't even care we asked for a to go box for my mom's food and my sandwich. We left NO tip on the table but paid our bill and left. I have not been back.

I was doing my laundry in the same shopping center as Boba Cafe and was starving so I decided to try it out. First off, it was nice and cool inside. Good sign. Second the people who were running the place were young and tattooed. Good sign. The inside was colorful and kitschy without being tacky. Very good sign. I decided on the Albuquerque Tortilla Soup and ordered a bowl. I ended up with a gallon. Holy soup, Batman! Anyways, my mom and I ended up splitting it, as it was more than enough for two. It was awesome - spicy without making you regret eating it. It looked like a chicken and green chili base - which is different than the typical chicken and tomato base usually found in tortilla soup. Yum.

Tasty, convenient lunch stop with something for everyone. I wish they would greet you at the entrance instead of yelling "sit anywhere you like!", I wish their smoothies were made with real fruit rather than a mix of some sort, and I wish they were open on Sundays. Aside from that, this place is solid. The green chile chicken wonton appetizer is crave-worthy, and I love their grape and walnut chicken salad sandwich - get it on a croissant. Awesome sweet potato fries. They have a special menu Tue-Thurs, and another special menu for Friday. The kung pao chicken on Friday's menu didn't impress me (there was next to no sauce, just spicy flavor, and I had to ask for peanuts). So a few items are hit-or-miss, based on your personal preference. I'm not a fan of boba, so I can't comment on that. Overall, though? Yum! UPDATE: I tried the green chile chicken wonton soup. OMG. If I'm sick or it's cold outside, it's now an official toss-up between Avgolemono soup at a Greek restaurant, Tom Kha soup at a Thai restaurant, or this here soup. SO TASTY!

I like Boba Cafe. Good sweet potato french fries, delicious green chile won ton soup (I know, who knew that was possible). The sandwiches are standard, nothing you couldn't make at home, but for a lunch stop that won't clog your arteries in this town, I highly recommend.

This is probably my favorite place to get french fries. They come out hot and just perfectly crispy. I always get the Thai Chicken rollup, which is fresh romain lettuce, peanuts, peanut sauce, warm chicken, tomatoes, bundled into a flour tortilla. With a boba smoothie or tea, it's one of my favorite meals in Las Cruces. Now, if only they had free wi-fi... It IS a cafe, although I've never tried their coffee, but it's a charming place, and, in the back, they have a cabaret where there are performances (which I have not seen). They also serve alcohol, but I'm not sure when or what sort, since that's not why I go.

The Boba Cafe & Cabaret first caught my eye two years ago, when I moved back to New Mexico. It's located in an aesthetically pleasing strip mall; it's colors and architecture are fun and funky. It seems to be a relatively safe location, where some evening, one wouldn't worry about arriving there alone. A couple of weeks ago, I asked, "Where's a good place to eat?" and someone recommended this place to me. So I decided it was time to check it out. Don't be fooled by the word "Cabaret"; it's not what some of you might think. I was told that the cafe holds various types of performances during the year, hence the name. "Gone Girls" was one of their last performances. When I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by all of the staff. That was a very pleasant surprise. Inside, the decor was eclectic, funky, and slightly bohemian; tastefully done. My server was very nice, he promptly brought me the menu, didn't hover over me while I was looking at it, nor did he ignore me when I was ready to order. I finally decided on a "bowl" of the Albuquerque Chicken Tortilla Soup. My bowl was huge! Generously filled with a combination of Chicken, Black Beans, Potatoes, and Green Chile, topped with lots of Crispy Tortilla Slices. The various flavors and textures gave this tasty dish lots of depth; best thing of all, the soup was served "piping hot". Perfect! Sadly unheard of, in most restaurants. I would definitely recommended The Boba Cafe & Cabaret. The food was great, the servings were generous, the service was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Now I'm looking forward to the entertainment.

In town for public meetings and no time for dinner. Luckily someone was kind enough to bring takeout from Boba for us poor souls who couldn't make it out. I had the green chili chicken wonton soup and fried rice. The first bite of the soup was a bit of a surprise as it was a little spicy, but the more I ate the better it got! If you like spicy soup, then OMG this is for you! Loaded with real green chilies, chicken veggies and wontons it was a perfect blend! The fried rice was also good. I had it for breakfast and it was tasty, so I can only imagine how good it would be straight from the kitchen. Looking at the menu this place is a fusion of southwest and Asian - sounds wrong but it is oh so good! Hoping to visit in person on my next trip!

I stop in here about once a week and I'm never disappointed. I will go through phases with my favorite items. The food is very good and you get a lot of it. While they don't tend to do iced coffee, they will make it for you, from the hot coffee. In my opinion, they have the best coffee in town.

I was traveling through California to Texas and thanks to Yelp, I found this popular place for a quick stop of lunch and drink. The green chili chicken wonton soup is very good. It's spicy but not overly hot to burn you. I also got a bubble tea to go. Quality wasn't the best but maybe because they use silk soy milk instead of regular milk. But the amount of boba they gave you was incredible though. I think the boba actually filled up half of my cup. Very generous.

consistently good food and friendly service. We love anything with their wasabi dressing but also the soups are first rate.

We had a event catered for a church group bu the Boba Cafe this evening. Our choice of food was from a menu of 7 salads. My salad was a very ordinary chef salad, and my wife's salad was a southwest 'Border' salad with wasabi ranch dressing which she was not sure if it was the best match for her type of salad. Others commented that their salads were good but not great. The spinach /bacon eaten by someone at our table salad seemed smaller than others. Also, the price for the salads that we received seemed a little pricey.

mmmm mmmm mmmm. First off, the service is awesome! Olive juice Jourdyn! The atmosphere is funky and unique. The food is superb. I love the green chile chicken wontons, the krab wontons, the egg flower soup, thai chicken roll up, chicken salad sammie, and who could forget the sweet potato fries! Scrumptious! The bubble tea with boba is made to order, and my kids love when 'Lady Jourdyn' brings out extra treats. Love Boba!

I was waiting for a turtle-neck sweater guy in a beret and sunglasses to step out and start playing the bongos. This place has that beat-nik, Bohemian feel like it fell out of a 1960s television show. The food was good. My friend and I both ordered their Asian salad. Yeah, difficult to believe I ordered something healthy, so I had them put fried chicken strips on top of it. Also shared their deep-fried appetizer sampler (that one wasn't my idea). There was only one other couple in the restaurant, so service was really good. The server was really friendly. I was picking on the atmosphere. It is a very relaxing place to have lunch or dinner. Probably a good place to get coffee and a nosh while reading a book or doing homework. I would definitely come back here again.

I go to Boba's about 1 time per week and have been for years. The food is good and has a bit of everything from fried rice to egg salad sandwiches to wraps and great soups. I have never had a bad meal at Boba's. I wish they would make a soup/salad and sandwich combo. Decent prices-about $7 to $10 per person. Has a nice outdoor area.

Nice atmosphere. My partner ordered the fish and chips, i got the egg salad sandwich. I thought mine was very yummy but my poor boyfriend took a bite into uncooked fish. We told the waitress and she promptly took it back. By the time he got his meal back i was basically done. they also just re-cooked what he had already eaten, the same piece he had taken a bite out of was still there(sanitary?). The second time the fish was over cooked and his fries were cold. He didn't even eat it. We paid full price and left. He has no desire to ever go back after that ordeal.

Cabaret in Las Cruces...who woulda thought? Boba Cafe has 6PM showtimes Thur - Sat which includes hor'dourves, entree, beer or wine beverage and gratuity....all for $25. I personally haven't been to the show but I was just shocked to find a dinner theater in LC. Right now there's a performance that features music from West Side Story, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Dick Tracy & more. We tried the lunch: An asian noodle soup, a turkey sandwich (which would have tasted a whole lot better if it were grilled) with fries and the macadamia-pineapple upside down cake. All were okay. I do have to agree that the tapioca balls in my banana bubble tea drink were off....chewy, shriveled...not what I'm used to. Of course, if I am itching to have a bubble tea drink, I will come here to satisfy the craving. Loved the service...

The mango bubble tea was a little overly sweet... two stars. But the green chile chicken wantons with dill sauce more than made up for that - super tasty... four stars. Finally, the pushy owner trying to get us to buy more stuff was really annoying. There were empty tables, we were spending money. Don't harass us... three stars.

I really only used to come here for boba drinks, teas, ices lattes and such. I had no idea it was a place to eat some good food too. I was invited here to grab a quick meal, and to tell you the truth I wasn't expecting to be impressed, but I am glad I was. Apparently I arrived at Caribbean Night and wasn't expecting food this type in Las Cruces, New Mexico - a deserted hole-in-the-sand kind of town. I ordered skewered shrimp over some rice and a side of sweet potato fries (yea that's not so Caribbean). The shrimp (although few) was outstanding. They coat it with coconut and fried, and the flavors are amazing. The rice was also good. Mixed in, were some beans and the overall taste was sweet, that paired well with the shrimp. The sweet potato fries come with (what I think is) citrus marmalade and truthfully, it tasted good with everything. I poured it over the rice, dunked the shrimp in it... the flavors really complemented each other, and again, I was impressed by the quality of the food, especially in a quiet town like Las Cruces. Definitely a place worth stopping in for if you're driving through or are stuck in your dorm room reading this. Something of quality in the tiny town in the middle of the dessert. Overall service was okay - the server was a bit "lost" at times, but the experience was good. considering I once placed Boba Cafe at 1 star, three is a BIG jump.

Delightful little venue. The staff was very friendly and kind. Especially enjoyed the potato leek soup: grab a bowl to go when you're washing your duds at the E Street Laundry next door.
